So What Is Life Coaching

Over the years, a couple of hundred at least, many theories and philosophies have been developed around the process of 'self improvement' or 'goal achievement'. All too often, these theories are discounted by the masses because they are presented in language and description that is difficult to understand and relate to.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Dynamic Psychology, Hypnotherapy and Self Hypnosis are all terms and phrases that we come across when looking into the possibility of life coaching. Chances are that everyone reading this has, at some time or another, wanted to learn a sport, or visit a gym? We don't give this a second thought. Training the body is an accepted process that we can see has healthy outcomes if practiced under the correct supervision, or with appropriate experience. Because life coaching is a process of training (or re training) the mind, we are intimidated by it, our own mind is a taboo area that is not 'trainable'. Is it? Or is it?

Our mind is learning all the time. Most of the time, we are not aware of it, we don't always have to think about learning something. In fact, it can be harder to learn a new skill when you set about it in a 'deliberate' way than it is when the skill is learned through habit or repetitiveness.
